Week

Got your latest paycheck and the whole week off? Take a break at Budapest!

Budapest is the capital city of Hungary. It is considered the country’s commercial, industrial, and cultural center.

When in the city, do check in at any of its fine hotels and settle down for the afternoon, enjoying lunch from room service and just looking out the window, getting a grasp of the fact that you’re in one of the most historical cities in the world.

Grab a tourist map and your camera, and set off for many architectural treats and sights throughout your week.

Visit the historical palace complex of the Buda Castle, the breathtaking Hero’s Square which features the Millenium Monument, the viewing terrace of Fisherman’s Bastion(which owes its name from the fishermen who protected the stretch of land it occupied in the Middle Ages), the large bathing complex of Széchenyi Baths, one of the largest bathing complexes in Europe, and the Hungarian Parliament building among others.

Everywhere you look, a striking building, monument or bridge is bound to catch your eye. – Even the railway station is a sight to behold!.

If you are hungry, there are also various restaurants surrounding the city for a quick meal before more exploration.  You must dine on a cruise at the Danube River, where you’ll see the whole of Budapest from a distance.

Who wouldn’t want a few Hungarian friends, right? Be the first to make a move and befriend a Budapest local. After staying for a week at Budapest, you might not even want to leave! As you fly out, look through all the beautiful photos you’ve taken, and show your friends back home that you had a great time indeed.
